The J.P. Morgan South Africa branch invites recent graduates who are currently unemployed to apply for the Jumpstart Internship Program 2025. As a 2025 Jumpstart Intern with J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), you will have the opportunity to experience a world-class organization in the South African market.
You will be assigned to one of our business lines, including Banking, Markets, Operations, Finance, or Technology, and will receive mentorship from our seasoned professionals and leaders, both locally and globally.
The program will be based in Johannesburg and will run from January 2025 to December 2025, with the potential for extension until December 2026. Shortlisted candidates for the 2025 J.P. Morgan Jumpstart Internship Program will be required to complete a 3-week Winter Internship Program during the 2024 winter university vacation period (1 July 2024 – 19 July 2024).
Responsibilities
- Undertake tasks and receive training according to your assigned area.
- Actively participate in projects from initiation to completion, providing support for tasks related to your placement area.

To be eligible, you must be able
- to work in South Africa.
- Completion of a final year Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance (all disciplines are welcome).
- Proficiency in English.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and the ability to handle pressure.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- Attention to detail, logical thinking, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical and management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
