Canon Female Photojournalist Grant 2024
The Canon Female Photographer Grant is an initiative that recognizes female photographers who actively cover social, political, economic, or cultural topics from a journalistic standpoint. The grant provides €8,000 to the chosen photographer to support an intriguing new initiative.
The initiative will be presented as an exhibition at the 2025 festival. This grant provides an excellent opportunity for female photographers to showcase their work and contribute to the world of journalism.
Who is eligible for the grant?
To be eligible, you must:
- Complete at least one photo reportage (published or unpublished)
- Have attained professional status as a photojournalist
- Be proficient in French and/or English (both spoken and written)
How you can apply
The application dossier should include:
- A signed application form
- A copy of the applicant’s identity card or passport
- An affidavit affirming the candidate’s professional status as a photojournalist
- Curriculum vitae
- A letter supporting the application and describing the photo reportage project (max. 1 page). This letter must be anonymous.
- Projected budget for the photo-reportage project (approval required for additional partners)
- A photo reportage consisting of 10 to 20 images in black and white or color
