The Pierre Castel Fund, along with its partners Castel El Djazaïr, Brakina, Boissons du Cameroun, Solibra, Star, and Bracongo SA, is pleased to announce the 7th edition of the 2024 PIERRE CASTEL PRIZE that will run from March 1 to July 10, 2024. This edition targets six African countries: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
2024 Pierre Castel Prize Grant
The Pierre Castel Grant is a form of commitment from Pierre CASTEL and Pierre De Gaétan NJIKAM to support the growth of African entrepreneurial youth. Since it started in 2018, the Prize has been a supporter of initiatives led by young entrepreneurs in agriculture and agri-food, pivotal sectors for Africa’s economic development.
The selected companies in each edition showcase resilience, resource preservation and development, empowerment of young people and women, and contributions to food system development by enhancing agricultural production and practices. Through support and mentoring activities, the Fund will help promote solidarity, trust, and entrepreneurial initiative.
Benefits of the Grant
- 1st place winners: €15,000, sponsorship, and a coaching program
- 2nd place winners: €10,000 and a coaching program
- Finalists: Access to certified entrepreneurial e-learning training with the Geneva International Trade Center (ITC) and participation in the Young Hopes Prize – For sustainable agriculture and food
Who can apply
You can apply if you are an:
- Agricultural entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 45
- Nationals of the countries covered in this edition, residing there
- Businesses legally established and operating for at least one year
- Projects with measurable social, economic, and environmental impacts on their ecosystems

The application deadline is April 15, 2024.
