General Manager Responsibilities
- The General Manager is responsible for running a successful restaurant while ensuring high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
- The General Manager works closely with their leader to set goals for the restaurant and create a plan to meet those goals.
- The General Manager doesn’t work alone; they lead a team of Department Managers. This includes setting goals for each department, tracking their progress, and providing coaching to help improve the restaurant’s performance.
- They also hire and train department and shift managers to ensure the restaurant has a strong team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a General Manager in high-volume locations.
- Background in quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or retail.
- Must be 18 years or older to manage a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.
