Applications are open for the Goethe-Institut Nigeria & Support & Connect Program 2024. Welcome to the Goethe-Institut Nigeria Support & Connect Program 2024! The purpose of this initiative is to support Nigerian cultural experts, individual artists, and collectives in completing their artistic endeavors.
Furthermore, the Goethe-Institut Nigeria boasts a well-established history of endorsing artistic endeavors throughout Nigeria, encompassing a diverse array of media including music, modern dance, photography, documentaries, theater, visual arts, literature, and beyond.
Through this program, financial support is provided to artists and cultural specialists who may receive invitations to participate in festivals or cultural projects in Germany or around Africa but may not have the means to do so.
However, we think that this support is essential to provide young and up-and-coming artists in Nigeria’s cultural landscape with a chance to be acknowledged.
Goethe-Institut Nigeria Support & Connect Program 2024
The Goethe-Institut Nigeria assists Nigerian cultural specialists, individual artists, and collectives as they carry out their projects.
The Goethe-Institut Nigeria has provided funding for numerous artistic endeavors in Nigeria throughout the years, spanning a wide spectrum of media including music, modern dance, photography, documentaries, theater, visual arts, literature, and much more.
Furthermore, financial assistance is offered by Goethe-Institut Nigeria to artists and cultural experts who are invited to festivals or cultural initiatives in Germany or elsewhere in Africa but face financial barriers to participation.
We think that this money is crucial to provide new and up-and-coming artists in Nigeria’s cultural landscape with a chance to be acknowledged and seen.
Funding for Goethe-Institut Nigeria Support & Connect Program 2024
All artistic and cultural endeavors from all sectors and regions of the nation are welcome to apply. This year, the funding and Connect project is providing funding for three distinct kinds of entries:
- Art and Culture Projects: up to 5,000 EUR each.
- Art and culture festivals: up to 5,000 EUR each.
- Art and culture travel Grant: up to 2,500 EUR each.
Eligibility Criteria for Goethe-Institut Nigeria Support & Connect Program 2024
Art and Culture Projects (up to 5,000 EUR each).
- Individual artists or collectives seeking to arrange an artistic or cultural project in Nigeria that possess a minimum of three years of professional collaboration experience.
- Consequently, it is essential to formulate the project concept beforehand and throughout a designated planning stage.
- The project has to begin in 2024 and be completed by December 10 of that same year, at the latest.
- We will only review application forms that are accurate and comprehensive.
Art and Culture Festivals (up to 5,000 EUR each)
- Nigerian art and cultural festivals had to be in their third year or older, starting in 2024 and ending on December 10, 2024, at the latest.
- The only application forms that will be reviewed are those that are correctly filled out.
Travel Grant for Art and Culture (up to 2,500 EUR each)
- Those who have already obtained an official invitation to participate in a project, event, or cultural festival in Germany or any other African nation.
- The host organization in Germany or an African country must pay for your accommodation and other living expenses throughout the period of your attendance at the event.
- The journey must happen in 2024 and be completed by December 10, 2024
- Only application forms that are accurate and complete will be examined.
