Fullbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program 2024-2025 (Fully-funded)

As part of the Fullbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement program, foreign secondary educators are invited to the United States for a six-week professional learning opportunity at a host university.
In addition to participating in academic seminars, participants watch and co-teach in American classrooms. You can work with faculty and students at the host university and nearby secondary schools to develop best practices in education. To foster understanding between people, participants participate in various civic and cultural events in their host towns.

Teaching quality and achievement through Fullbright At the host university, participants attend academic seminars with themes including student-centered learning, instructional technology, innovative teaching approaches, and content-based education. At a nearby secondary school, participants conduct a minimum of 40 hours of fieldwork under the supervision of a U.S. partner educator on the same or a related topic. Furthermore, by engaging in diverse cultural events, participants acquire information about the United States and the destinations they are visiting.
Candidates can apply for a cohort that focuses on gender, media literacy, or climate education.

  • This initiative is run by IREX under the auspices of the US Department of State, with financial support from the US government.

Eligibility Criteria for Fullbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program 2024-2025

  • Open to teachers working at institutions primarily serving the local community in all fields, including social studies, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), journalism, foreign languages, English as a second language, and special education.
  • It is necessary to have confirmation of English language proficiency in addition to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience.
  • Applicants must be able to travel to the United States for six weeks.
