About the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship and Leadership Programme was established in 2015 with generous donations to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld.

In 2017, a significant contribution from Trustee and Chairman André Hoffmann (£9m), combined with £6m in matched funding from Oxford University, doubled the program’s reach.

This scholarship is part of the Oxford Graduate Scholarships initiative, a pioneering funding model where Oxford University contributes 40% of funds and external donors provide the remaining 60% through the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust (including Fondation Hoffmann).

The program has since become one of the most prestigious graduate opportunities at Oxford, offering scholars academic excellence, leadership training, and a lifelong support network.
